About The Blog

I created this blog because I had made a lot of mistakes with my financial life. This included not setting up budgets, buying things I couldn’t afford with credit cards, and then not being able to pay my bills on time. Before long, the credit I had been building had been completely destroyed and I was sitting there with tens of thousands of dollars in debt. I had a few choices to make if I was going to overcome this problem I put myself into, bankruptcy, hire a company to help me or figure out how to do it myself. After a few years of working hard, I figured out how to get my financial situation fixed. I now help others do the same with my Smart Credit University Program.

I grew up in Washington State all of my life. I played a lot of sports, including basketball, tennis, track and cross country throughout high school. I was an active Boy Scout, and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. I am still involved in the scouting program today.

I spent two years serving a mission in Russia for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I can still speak, read and write in Russian, but maybe not as good as I would like.

I spent the majority of my career working in the software industry working with companies to go paperless. During that time, I grew to love working with people on training them how to set up systems to make them more effective in their professional and personal lives.
